The Baseball Center believes in the philosophy of keeping existing teams together and adding players based on each team’s respective needs and players’ skill sets. This process helps to build camaraderie and familiarity between teammates, building stronger rosters over the course of 2-3 seasons.

Player evaluations are held at the beginning of each season and players will be informed of their team assignment soon thereafter.

WHO: Open to the first 26 players, ages 10-12yrs. old who register.

WHERE: Played in Central Park, Heckscher Field #2

HOW: TBCNYC’s sandlot play will consist of 10 players (registered for the season) per team. Each week two “new” teams will be selected by the coaches. Teams will warm-up, receive on-field practice time as well as a short round of batting practice.
Games will be conducted under “TBCNYC Coach Pitch” rules. Players will have an opportunity to play different positions and bat in different line-up spots. There will be nine players in the field at a time and one player on the bench. Players may only sit out one inning per day. Each half-inning will end after 3 outs, or 5 runs being scored.

In case of inclement weather and/or field closures, The Baseball Center NYC will credit the amount of the week missed to your TBCNYC account.* That credit can be used for any future private lesson, cage rental or outdoor class program.**

* Refunds will not be offered for missed classes. ** Credits may not be used for any TBCNYC Outdoor League.
